He was formerly a professor of surgery at St. John's Medical College and Hospital where he has worked for 13 years and gained vast experience both in teaching and surgical work. He was one of the first few to have started Minimally Invasive Surgery in Bangalore and has performed quite a number of procedures like Cholecystctomy, Appendicectomy, Hernia Repair and others.
