He has been a Cardiac Surgeon for 10 years and brings with him a rich experience having worked as an Attending Cardiac Surgeon at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre(EHIRC), New Delhi.

He was a Consultant Cardiac surgeon at Durdans Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where he ran an independent surgical programme. He had a brief stint at Bombay Hospital, Indore as well.
